A tale of two porches for a home that had grown organically over time with a series of additions. This current remodel adds two decks—one to the south and one to the west—giving the owners new ways to step outside and connect with their garden. At the southwest corner, the living and dining areas were opened up to bring in more light and extend views outward. Casement windows unify and animate the facade, shifting with the seasons and the owners’ preference for fresh air.
Updates also included new siding and paint, helping unify the different parts of the home into a more cohesive whole. The result is a home that feels more open, connected, and in tune with its surroundings.
